About FLAIR-Sim

FLAIR-Sim is an independently developed online airline management simulation.

The project is still in active development and grows continuously with new systems, features and improvements. The goal is to build a full airline-management experience where the player does not only buy aircraft and create routes, but manages the operation of an airline as a whole.

How FLAIR-Sim started

FLAIR-Sim began as my own project because aviation has always been a major interest of mine. Before starting it, I played different mobile management and airline simulations. They were often exciting at first: you started from nothing, built a company and unlocked more possibilities. But after reaching most goals, the feeling of further development and ownership often faded.

I also became tired of games where improving the fleet or progressing further increasingly depended on repeated purchases. I did not want the central question to be “What do I have to buy next to continue?” I wanted it to be “What can I do next with my airline?”

The original idea was only a small PC game. As development continued, more questions appeared: What happens when an aircraft breaks down? What if there is no crew? What if the aircraft is at the wrong airport? What about maintenance, slots, replacement aircraft, diversions, stranded passengers, finances and contracts? Those questions gradually turned a simple idea into a much larger simulation.

A game worth returning to

The aim is that development of the player’s airline does not end after buying the “best” aircraft or reaching one final level. Fleets age, maintenance is required, costs change, disruptions happen, networks grow and decisions continue to matter. The important part is not only how many aircraft a player owns, but how well the airline is managed.

Still in development

FLAIR-Sim is not a finished product. Some screens, graphics and systems will still be redesigned. Bugs, incorrect calculations or unexpected situations may appear. This is part of active development and testing. What is imperfect today can be changed significantly as the project evolves.

FLAIR-Sim is developed, tested, corrected and improved continuously.

You can help improve it

If you find a bug, confusing interface, unrealistic behaviour or have an idea for a better solution, you can send feedback to the contact e-mail shown in the game. Suggestions may concern both appearance and game logic. Useful and technically feasible feedback may influence future development.

Independent development and AI-assisted content

FLAIR-Sim is developed as an independent project. I manage the project myself and use modern programming and AI tools for coding, analysis, interface design, testing and selected visual content.

Selected aircraft images, visual concepts for the flight-schedule module, airport-detail layouts, icons and other graphical elements are created specifically for FLAIR-Sim, including with AI technology, and may be further edited for use in the game. The intention is to create original project assets rather than copy finished photographs, graphics or interfaces from other games, websites or third parties.

If a reference image or public source is used during creation, it serves as informational or visual reference for producing a new result, not as an intention to reproduce the original material as game content.

Sources of information

Technical, operational and general information used during development is drawn mainly from publicly available and lawfully accessible sources, including manufacturers, airports, public registers, technical and regulatory documents, professional publications and other public sources. Data may be simplified or adapted for gameplay and are not intended as an official technical source for real-world aviation.

Third-party names and trademarks

FLAIR-Sim may refer to real aircraft manufacturers, aircraft type designations, airports, airport codes and other identifiers used in civil aviation. Trademarks, trade names, logos, product names and other third-party rights remain the property of their respective owners.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, such references do not imply sponsorship, approval, partnership, funding or any legal or commercial affiliation with FLAIR-Sim. FLAIR-Sim is not an official product of any aircraft manufacturer, airline, airport or other third party mentioned in the game.

What a new player receives

Every new player starts with $15,000,000, a 300 XP registration bonus and two aircraft: Airbus A320-214 – Wingtip Fence and ATR 42-500. If the player returns the following day, an additional $2,000,000 + 200 XP is awarded.

You start with two aircraft. Where your airline goes next is up to you.
